FDK UINSU and FIKOM UMN Sign MoU to Collaborate in Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi

Medan, Indonesia – The Faculty of Dakwah and Communication (FDK) of the State Islamic University of North Sumatra (UINSU) and the Faculty of Communication Studies of the Multimedia Nusantara University (FIKOM UMN) have signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) to collaborate in the Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi (Three Pillars of Higher Education).

The collaboration covers three areas:

  • Education: Joint research, student exchange programs, and guest lectures.
  • Research: Collaborative research projects and publications.
  • Community Service: Community outreach programs and capacity building workshops.

The MoA was signed by Prof. Dr. Hasan Sazali MAg, Dean of FDK UINSU, and Ir. Andrey Andoko MSc, Dean of FIKOM UMN, on February 8, 2024, at the UMN Serpong Campus in Tangerang, Banten.

Prof. Hasan Sazali expressed his hope that the collaboration would lead to concrete benefits for both institutions, such as improving the quality of education, increasing research productivity, and strengthening community engagement.

Ir. Andrey Andoko MSc echoed Prof. Hasan Sazali’s sentiments and highlighted the potential for the collaboration to enrich the learning experience for students from both universities.

The FDK UINSU and FIKOM UMN are committed to realizing the goals of the MoA through a series of joint activities and programs. In the near future, the two institutions will discuss short-term programs, such as the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program, student internships, and research projects in the field of Communication and Islamic Broadcasting.***
