WIO EN –The issue surrounding the land compensation process for 2.086 Ha in IKN Ibu Kota Nusantara continues to draw attention due to unresolved problems related to land acquisition and compensation.
Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) explained that the land acquisition process has now progressed to the compensation stage, but is still awaiting resolution with several communities still occupying the land.
Speaking at the Cikeas Land Office in Bogor, AHY stated, “We are just waiting for the resolution process with several communities that are still occupying. There is a compensation process that is not within the domain of the Ministry of ATR/BPN.”
The compensation process for national strategic projects (PSN), including IKN, is planned to be handled by the State Asset Management Agency (LMAN) to ensure a proper resolution process.
Inter-agency coordination is key in addressing this issue. AHY mentioned that he has coordinated with the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Menko Marves) Luhut Pandjaitan to ensure optimal resolution.
“We are clearly ready to issue certificates if everything is clean and clear,” AHY continued.
The Secretary General (Sekjen) of the Ministry of ATR/BPN, Suyus Windayana, also provided further insight into the processed land. According to Suyus, a portion of the 2,086-hectare land is included in the IKN Toll Road project. “Part of the toll road is included,” Suyus revealed.
In the context of the toll road project, the Chairman of the Implementation Task Force for IKN Infrastructure Development, Danis H Sumadilaga, explained that the problematic toll road project land is located in Section 6A of the Riko-Rencana Outer Ring Road IKN and Section 6B of the Rencana Outer Ring Road-Sp. 3 ITCI.
“Because there is land that is in the status of state assets under control (ADP). There is state land but there are residents in Section 6A-6B,” Danis clarified.
Resolving this issue is the main focus of the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR). Danis stated that the Ministry of PUPR, along with several parties, is striving to find a solution with the target of resolving the issue by the end of 2024.
“We are striving together with the Ministry of ATR/BPN, Menko Marves, the East Kalimantan Regional Government (Pemda Kaltim), and the Penajam Paser Utara Regional Government (Pemda PPU) to find a solution, along with the Ministry of Finance as well,” he explained.
The role of the State Asset Management Agency (LMAN) is also crucial in resolving the compensation payments for national strategic projects (PSN).
AHY emphasized that LMAN will handle these compensation payments to ensure a proper and transparent resolution.
In response to these developments, the public is highlighting the challenges faced in bringing the Nusantara Capital to fruition as a national strategic project.
Land acquisition and compensation resolution are crucial steps in realizing this ambitious project. The involvement of various government agencies, including the Ministry of ATR/BPN, the Ministry of PUPR, and the State Asset Management Agency (LMAN), demonstrates the government’s commitment to resolving existing issues.
AHY stressed that cross-sectoral and inter-agency coordination is key in addressing complex issues like this. With a target resolution by the end of 2024, the government continues to seek the best solutions involving various stakeholders.
The commitment to realizing the Nusantara Capital as a manifestation of the national development vision remains the primary focus in resolving this issue.
